Tips For Collecting Your Cruisin Camper From Hobart
Cruisin’ has a convenient branch located just moments from the Hobart International Airport, a great base for exploring Tasmania. These tips for collecting your motorhome rental in Hobart will make sure that you experience an effortless transaction at our office on the day of pick up.
Know how to access our office
Cruisin’s Hobart branch is located at 3 Runway Place, Cambridge just a hop, skip and a jump from the airport. If you are arriving from mainland Australia, the best way to access our office is via a taxi. Once you have collected your baggage simply walk out the front of the baggage collection area where you will find the rank. A taxi to the office costs, on average, between $12 – $15 AUD. Those arriving from the city can also catch a taxi to our office for around $35 – $40 or jump on board the Airport Shuttle Bus which can easily take a detour to our branch.
Have ready your drivers licence and credit card
Once you arrive at our office, our friendly guest services team will settle you in and begin the paperwork for your rental. All hirers driving the vehicle should have their licence ready for copy and the credit card holder also needs to be present on collection to sign the rental agreement.
Contact the reservations team prior to arrival to update your pick up time
If your flight arrival time has changed since your original booking, please contact the reservations team on 1300 664 485 to update your collectio time. Please bare in mind that hours of operation for pick up and drop off are 8 am to 4 pm. Those collecting should do so by 3:30 pm to allow time for the paperwork and vehicle orientation video.
Have your luggage packed in a backpack
To minimise your set-up time at the Hobart office consider packing your belongings in a backpack over a suitcase. Suitcases are rigid and more difficult to unpack and store in the motorhome.
Plan your first caravan park before arrival (in peak season)
Anyone travelling between the months of December to April (especially over Easter) should pre-book their caravan park accommodation for peace of mind. All camping cars come equipped with a 15 Amp extension lead which connects to 240 volt mains power at authorised caravan parks. Hirers must connect to one of these outlets at least every second night of the holiday to charge the battery. Those travelling between May and November have more flexibility to plan as they go.
Ask any questions you have on the day of arrival
If you have any questions on the day of pick up, our friendly guest services staff will be happy to assist. Often, reception access in Tasmania is limited especially in rural and remote areas, so be sure to ask any questions as they come to mind rather than calling later.
Know your vehicle inclusions to avoid over-packing
All Cruisin’ campervan and motorhome rentals are provided with linen, bedding, pillows, towels, cutlery, crockery, maps, a camp ground guide and living appliances. All you need to bring is your own possessions. Contact our reservations team on reservations@cruisinmotorhomes.com.au if you have any further questions regarding the Hobart branch pick up procedure.
